Book Design / Rubber Stamp

[ Description ]
4th June is an experimental tabloid-format publication from the MA GMD programme, produced entirely through hand-stamped printing. Using rubber stamps instead of mechanical reproduction, every copy becomes visually unique.
The project gathers historical events that occurred on different 4th of Junes and compresses them into a single timeline. By combining the newspaper as a carrier of public memory with the rubber stamp as a tool of manual record-making, the work explores how history is constructed, repeated, and distorted.
Variations in ink density, clarity, and alignment are left visible, turning each issue into an unrepeatable document of time. Rather than reproducing history, 4th June reflects on the instability and subjectivity embedded in all forms of archive.
