ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Zhang Hao — a designer with a cross-cultural academic background and a deep interest in the intersection of design, technology, and sustainability.

I graduated with both a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Graphic Media Design from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, and also studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. My design practice is rooted in both Eastern and Western visual languages, allowing me to approach creative challenges with a versatile and critical perspective.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a creative designer at Alibaba, where I explored the boundaries between commercial value and design innovation. My approach values functionality, clarity, and long-term impact—I believe good design not only communicates, but also sustains.

In parallel, I’ve been exploring the field of digital media art, investigating how emerging technologies like AI and algorithmic systems are reshaping visual culture and aesthetic paradigms. I’m particularly interested in the dialogue between automation and human creativity, and how designers can respond to—and shape—this evolving landscape.

Whether through commercial projects or experimental research, I aim to create work that is thoughtful, responsible, and future-facing.
